"Robots have no feelings" is a reference to a common childhood daydream I would have that I were a robot, so that my emotions and painfully shy way of being did not get in the way of my desires.

As an adult with symptoms of multiple sclerosis building since 2008. I began using cannabis to help treat pain, depression, and anxiety involved in the daily existence of a young person who is chronically ill.

These pipes were formed by hand to be hiding in plain sight, to look like abstract ceramic sculptures yet they hold a secret--to be used to smoke cannabis. Several different gallery events were held in 2014-2016 using these pipes to collectively celebrate a liberation of the self.
