ArtZine Workshop
ArtZine Workshop
Located in Olde Kensington, Philadelphia, PA 19122, the ArtZine Workshop is a free, inclusive art-making and publishing space available to all Penpals for Palestine! Clubhouse members and their families.
We use mindfulness as a lens to explore eco-friendly processes across various media, including printmaking, book arts, collage, ephemeral graffiti, and multiple forms of writing.
As lifelong educators, we’ve gathered our tools, materials, and collective knowledge to cultivate a welcoming environment for hands-on, tactile creativity. The workshop supports a wide range of art practices, including:
Papermaking
Printmaking
Sculpture
Painting
Fiber arts
Poetry
Creative writing
Artist books
Zines
Ephemeral graffiti
An ArtZine is an independently made publication that follows a do-it-yourself philosophy emphasizing expression and connection over exploitation and alienation.
We discuss: What is an ArtZine and why do we want to make them? What can your art contribute to your community?
